The Real Beauty Tips

"Time Tested Beauty Tips"

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry
For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day
For poise, walk with the knowledge you'll never walk alone...
People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed,
revived, reclaimed and redeemed...
Never throw out anybody.

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand,
you'll find one at the end of your arm.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands.
One for helping yourself, the other for helping others.

True beauty comes from within". Such a cliche' quote, but isn't it true. Anyone who's ever worked in customer service could testify to the validity of that quote. There was a time when I worked the refund desk at a retail outlet, and let me tell you...someone could be drop dead gorgeous. I would be all excited to help this beautiful person...then her true self would rise up!

I don't care how beautiful she is on the outside, enduring five minutes of a haughty, arrogant, cursing prima donna is enough to make any fairy tale princess uglier than the proverbial frog that she kissed in the first place!

When you are truly beautiful on the outside and the inside...well, that's a combination that can't be beat!

My 5 Categories of the Beautiful

My 5 Categories of the Beautiful

Well this is not your common lifestyle page in the magazines or newspapers or showbiz bulletins.

I wonder how you categorize beauty. But these are my five categories of what is beautiful.

1. An image of general acceptability : There is this immediate perceptible sense of acceptability for a person's image, character and attitude.

2. Self confidence and inner beauty : Unlike the first and the rest, this is a function that is internal but projected for others to perceive.

3. Beholder's preference of certain physical attributes: This is an external function of the beholder's taste for beauty. While this is the common view of beauty, this is so influenced by popular media stereotypes of beauty, which is shaped by the dominant Western culture.

4. Warmth and capacity for good relations : Unlike the first, this is a function of interaction rather than perception

5. Zest (spirit) in life : I would include here (a) physical energy and healthy body (b) active sexual life,(c) positive view of life and joyfulness, (d) genuine interest in people, (e) devotional spiritual life, and (f) intentional care of personal image.

Obviously there is a degree of subjectivity to all these categories. Whichever you apply.

God in the Bible never gave us definitions of what is beautiful. It must be borne of our conventions of perception. When he created things, he said, "It was good." Everything was created good and thereby intended to be beautiful.

How does a pimple come up?

When a hair follicle is clogged with extra sebum and dead skin cells, your sensitive skin is prone to develop a blackhead, white head or pimple. Does anyone know if skin is just bad in the first part of pregnancy and then usually improves or do you think it will stay like this for the whole pregnancy. Also does anyone have any good suggestions to treat the problem? Please fill in the online questionnaire for your FREE hair and skin consultation.

Taking care of your facial skin

Cold weather is a common factor in the drying out of facial skin, and the increased use of moisturizers. Some moisturizers are greasy and can cause break-outs. Exfoliation should be used regularly to prevent back acne and to get rid of dead skin cells that appear and gather on the back, buttocks and back of the arms. Sugar scrub should also be used in the shower on a weekly basis. Some other herbal products can also help clear the skin by removing toxins. These herbal therapy products are: bergamot, chamomile, dandelion root, juniper and lavender.

Remember to use unscented water-based cleansers only for you to avoid further irritation of the skin that is affected with back acne. Strong soaps can be abrasive to the skin and can complicate back acne.

The good news is adult acne can be completely controlled with the Clear Skincare Acne treatment program, including the treatment of scars and skin pigmentation. It gently cleanses the skin, removing dirt and excess oil. Added moisturizers prevent excessive dryness.

Exposed Skin Care Treatment

Clearpores Skin Cleansing System

This is the problem of the most common skin regardless of the age. It affects about 85% of adolescents. Dry body brushing effectively and gently exfoliates dead skin cells and increases circulation at the same time. Following this treatment a natural moisturizer is then massaged into the body.

"Staying Beautiful"

How to Have Great Looking Skin

Great skin is something that nearly everyone can cultivate. Our skin is affected by our:. Genes. Inner nutrition - what we eat and drink. Exercise. General health and well-being. Emotional health, and.

Outer nutrition - how we take care of our skinWhile we can't alter our genes, we can improve our skin by making the necessary adjustments in the areas we can influence. Read on to discover the basic components of a healthy outer nutritional plan for your skin.If you seriously want great skin the very first thing to do and wear a hat and good quality sunscreen when out in the sunshine. Having said that, let's move on to understand the next three basic foundations to great skin.

If you want your skin to look and feel great, careful cleansing is very important. This should be done first thing in the morning and last thing at night to remove pore-clogging dirt. Don't cleanse enough and you could find yourself prone to spots. Cleanse to often and you could be stripping away essential oils and be susceptible to dry skin or even eczema.

Understanding your skin type (normal, dry or oily) and using a cleanser to match is the best foundation for great looking skin. Remember to rinse your face with warm water after using a cleanser, as any residue will continue to work on the skin if not completely removed. Our grandmother's used soap and water?isn't that good enough? Soap is not very good at removing makeup because it does not contain enough oils to dissolve the staying power that most cosmetics have today.

Remember the 'tight' feeling after your have washed your fact with soap? Soap can be very drying on your skin and may wash away essential oils. Another reason not to use soap is that it is not matched to the natural balance of our skin. Soap is generally alkaline, whilst skin is naturally acidic. The second step to great outer nutrition for your skin is to tone. Toners are designed to remove any last traces of cleanser, while also helping to tighten and refine pores and prevent the build-up of dead skin cells.

After toning your skin should fee and look revitalised and refreshed, and ready to be moisturised. Again you will need to apply a toner that matches your skin type. The third foundation step is to apply moisturiser to help restore the moisture loss caused by the drying effects of sunlight, central heating, wind, cold and pollution.

A good daytime moisturiser would contain a sunscreen and will be easily absorbed into the skin. At night you should use a richer, more nourishing cream, as this is when your skin more readily absorbs moisture.Despite the plethora of products on the market and the myriad of additives?. the most important ingredient of any moisturiser is water!

If water is just splashed on the skin it will not say there. Moisturisers are basically oil and water emulsions which contain a humectant (a substance added to another to make it moist), which attracts water and helps 'fix' it in the upper layers of the skin.

Moisture that is lost firm the skin needs to be replaced quickly so that the surface of the skin is kept both soft and smooth. The living cells in the layers need water so that they will not shrivel up and die. A moisturiser can protect the skin by providing a varier between the skin and the external environment. It also prevents the loss of moisture from the deeper layers of the skin.Should people who have oily skin use a moisturiser?

Moisturisers are particularly recommended for people with dry skin but everyone can benefit from using a moisturiser. You simply need to ensure that you choose the correct moisturiser for your skin type. People with oily skin should choose a moisturiser that hydrates their skin whilst helping absorb any excess oil.Great skin is something that nearly everyone can cultivate.

Quick Beauty Tips for everyday life

Here are a few useful tips to help women stay beautiful every day. You would be amazed how many of those will seem so simple to you but will actually make a huge difference! First of all you need to keep your face in place for longer! Buy a small pump spray bottle that you can usually find easily in the travel sections of high street stores, and fill with water. Use the pump spray to spray a fine mist over your face once you have applied your face makeup (pre-eye make up). You quickly will find that it sets your make up for the whole day making it last longer and preventing the need for continuous touch ups which is obviously a great news. The second tip is to consider having your eyelashes tinted. Having your eyelashes tinted is relatively quick and easy if you go to professional beautician (make sure they do a skin test beforehand) and is much more convenient and cheaper than using mascara every day, plus it does not run, smudge or take ten minutes to get off before bed! The next tip is a basic one. You need to keep it simple with soap!

Simply go old school and rediscover real soap. There are plenty of delicious scents, it is natural, long lasting and often seems to clean better too, so try it and you will not regret it! This one may look a bit silly but it is actually a good one that will help you make some savings here. Use the very last bit of all your products by taking pump action lids off, cutting open soft plastic tubes or using brushes to extract the last bits from cosmetics. You will really be amazed how much is left in the bottom when you would normally just throw them away! The last tip will help you fix your hair quickly. If your hair is looking a little greasy or you have not had a chance to wash it but want to freshen it up, sprinkle a little talcum powder through the roots, tip your head upside down, give it a shake and if you can, a quick blast with the hairdryer and this will give it a new lease of life. Those tips just really seem to be basic tips but you will see that they will make your everyday life different and help you stay beautiful every day. True Beauty

What Is True Beauty?

What qualities do stunning women share?

Elegant. Chic. That certain je ne sais quoi. Call it whatever you want. Certain women possess that one glowing quality that catches people off-guard. Often it’s hard to pinpoint its genesis. It could be the simple yet classy chignon in her hair, it could be her stunning attire, it could even be her picture perfect smile, but often it’s something much more intrinsic than any of these. It could just be something about the way she carries herself.

What are the things that truly speak to the glamour of a woman?

Childhood Idol

I would say that true beauty lies in subtlety and the little external details only magnify it. Think of a woman that you idolized as a child. Was it your mother? Grandmother? A teacher, perhaps? Think about what you remember most. I remember my mother the most and the way her wavy long hair framed her face and softened her eyes. I used to think she was a mermaid because of the way her hair flowed. But it was more than just these traits that made women such as my mother so admirable.

Fabulous Feature

One major factor of beauty is having a captivating feature.

Do your eyes have a sparkle to them that shows even when it’s dark out?

Do you have a commanding posture that oozes sexiness? Perhaps you have a charismatic laugh that people can’t seem to get enough of. Those of us who have figured out how to play up this feature will never have difficulty catching glances of awe even in a large crowd. We have also learned how to use these features to the best of our advantage. A quick glance over our shoulder or flashing our signature smile has been known to earn us discounts, passes, numbers, an endless array of free goodies and sometimes even jobs. It’s more than superficial “prettiness” because we have learned how to exude confidence and charm without having to resort to unclassy alternatives like over-the-top makeup and revealing attire, but rather by having learned how to maximize our best beauty assets.

More Than Skin Deep

But more important and long lasting than any of these physical attributes are those that cause us to truly admire or idolize certain women in the first place: inner beauty. This is why Princess Diana is a lasting icon, whereas Britney Spears isn't even a commonly respected personality. True inner beauty means that your smile goes beyond photogenic and is genuine and sincere. It means that people enjoy being around you because it makes them feel beautiful. It’s a matter of natural charm and a kind spirit that brings out one's inner beauty.

This, I would argue, is the most important part of one's personality, because this will carry through when old age takes its toll.Lastly, I want to point out one of the most understated qualities that contributes to a woman’s beauty: wisdom.

It increases with age and experience, it shines through even the most weathered faces and is the reason why we looked up to our female idols in the first place, even if we didn’t know it at the time. A baby can be cute, a young girl can have a pretty face, but real beauty takes time to cultivate and develop, and relies on far more than genetics, surgery or physique to be truly captivating.

In the end, beauty chalks up to more than just a fresh face and a killer body. It relies heavily on personality. Consider the following for a moment: if you spend your life stressed, angry and resentful, it’s not going to be your laugh lines that will be noticeable in your older years. That being said, the best advice for lasting beauty ought to be obvious: smile…

Simplicity is beauty;natural based products are still the best

Natural Beauty - Enhance The Looks You Have

Visualization

You need to visualize the specific changes if you truly want to change your look. What will any improvements you make look like? See yourself with a streamlined body, healthier hair, clearer skin, majestic posture. These changes are realistic and attainable. Stay away from goals you'll never reach. Don't compare yourself with someone you've seen on the TV or movie screen or on the cover of a magazine. Accept your uniqueness and capitalize on it.

Mirrors Boost Attitude

The quickest attitude adjustment is through reflection. Women who have low self esteem often avoid mirrors like the plague. However, mirrors can become a big ally. Mirrors can tell you how you're progressing, in those little ways that may not be noticeable to the casual eye. It is the ultimate objective eye.

Do Everything Better

The way you use your beauty products will make all the difference in results. For instance, try to duplicate what you see and feel your hair is shampooed at a salon. The product is always handled, never poured directly on hair. Add a massage to your scalp when washing. While rinsing, lift your hair away from your scalp for about two minutes until it squeaks.

Discover The Virtues of Vanity

Confident women enjoy experimenting as a way of relieving stress and boost morale. Women who care about how they look are fascinating to watch, and teach us about taste and glamour. Vanity is a positive virtue, allowing us to fix our heads as well as our looks.

Pretty Amazing

Don't worry about looking pretty. Look pretty amazing show the world you care about yourself. Real beauty celebrates individuality. Rather than running around looking for beauty in pricey external products, discover within yourself. Make the most of what you have. You'll learn to like yourself and that will spark a light within.

Do One Thing For Yourself Everyday

Make yourself do it. It's the ultimate act of self-respect. Soak in the bubble bath or read an inspiring book. These little pleasures allow you to feel special. You can fake it if you, until you actually feel deserving of it. Whatever you choose, follow the action by writing down waht you did and how it made you feel. Make it your own "attitude file". Include stories, quotes from friends and photographs that have made you feel good about yourself.

Project Beauty

Feel good, feel pretty and that's just what the world will see. If you feel ugly, that's what the people will see. Try to look as good as you can. There are ways to live in beauty without being obsessive about it.

Find Supportive Friends

What people say, whether intentional or not, make us feel good or bad about ourselves. Look for people who make you feel good when you're down. This person will give you compliment. If you've done something different or if you're wearing something new, they will notice it. Keep this compliments and they will build your self esteem.

Listen To Your Inner Voice

Each of us has a voice inside our head that will give us advice. This is like a therapist. It will guide us in the right direction. It will calm us down, cheer us up and even help us figure out why we're overeating or not bothering to iron our clothes. The problem is that we often don't take time we need to hear this important information. Schedule some quiet time in a leisurely bath or walk, or even while putting on your makeup. Treat this intuition as an inner cheering section.

Take A Break

At least twice a day, set aside five minutes to recheck your make-up, hair, posture and clothing. No matter how impeccably you started out your day, a touch is both necessary and warranted. Take some deep breaths to renew and restore your appearance.

"ALOE VERA has been knowned for its healing power; The Miracle Plant"

Often called the miracle plant or the natural healer, Aloe Vera is a plant of many surprises. It flourishes in warm and dry climates, and to many people it looks like a cactus with fleshy thorny leaves. In fact it is a member of the Lily family. Staying moist where other plants wither and die by closing its pores to prevent moisture loss.

Additional knowledge "Four vegetables are indispensable for the well being of man:
Wheat, the grape, the olive and aloe.
The first nourishes him, the second raises his spirit,
The third brings him harmony, and the fourth cures him"

Christopher Columbus (1451-1506)

"You ask me what were the secret forces which sustained me during my long fasts. Well, it was my unshakeable faith in God, my simple and frugal lifestyle, and the Aloe whose benefits I discovered upon my arrival in South Africa at the end of the nineteenth century".

Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948)

There are in fact over 200 varieties of Aloe, but it is the Aloe Barbadensis Miller (Aloe Vera or "true aloe") plant which has been of most use to mankind because of the medicinal properties it displays. Ancient records show that the benefits of this plant have been known for centuries, with its therapeutic advantages and healing properties surviving for more than 5000 years.
Its antiquity was first discovered in 1862 in an Egyptian papyrus dated 1500 BC. It was used to great effect by Greek and Roman physicians. Researchers have found that both the ancient Chinese and Indian used Aloe Vera. Egyptian Queens associated its use with their physical beauty, while in the Phillipines it is used with milk for kidney infections. Legend suggests that Alexander the Great conquered the island of Socotra in the Indian Ocean to secure supplies of Aloes to treat the battle wounds of his soldiers.

Aloe Vera remained a prominent herbal remedy but as the Northern European countries expanded their colonisation of the globe, it starts to fall from grace. It is not clear why this was so, but a possible explanation is the difference between the use of Aloe Vera in tropical climes, compared with the temperate north. In tropical countries where the plants grew naturally, there was an abundance of fresh Aloe. However, Aloe Vera had to be imported to the temperate north, but inevitably degraded in transit. Physicians in Europe therefore never got to experience the true benefits, and scorned reports of the wonders that it could do for health. In consequence it never really took hold; in the knowledge of European Physicians, and the alleged remarkable healing powers; were felt to be more myth than fact. As science developed Aloe Vera became discarded along with many stalwart herbal remedies of an earlier age.about Aloe Vera;

Aloe vera enhances bioavailability of vitamins B12 and C
A new Human Study finds that Aloe vera enhances bioavailability of vitamins B12 and C and ORAC among mature adults.

What makes Aloe Vera work?
It is surprising that the evident healing effects of aloe vera can be produced by such a small quantity of solid material. Some people believe that there is a synergistic action between all the component ingredients, giving a result which is greater than the sum of the individual actions. The combined action of all herbal preparations taken from whole stems, roots, leaves or fruits containing huge numbers, but very small amounts of phyto-chemicals, stretches the boundaries of the conventional medicinal paradigm.

In all allopathic (orthodox) medicine, the practice is to isolate, in a chemically pure form, the biologically active substance of the consitutent ingredients. These extracted drugs must be uniform in their composition in order to demonstrate a consistent physiological effect. Perhaps there is some truth in an ancient Ayurvedic text from India: ‘Extracting drugs from a part of the plant is taking out the intelligence and throwing away the wisdom.’ Whole plant preparations, though less potent, are generally considered to be safer with fewer side effects.

SECRET OF A BEAUTIFUL SKIN

It is the dream of every woman to have a beautiful, fresh and youthful skin. The first step in looking younger begins with what you decide to put into your mouth. Your diet and lifestyle plays a major part in deciding the beauty of your skin. Most people think of a diet as being appropriate only for getting a beautiful figure, however eating the right kind of foods and following a proper diet will put you on the fast track to a healthy body and healthy and glowing skin.

The secret to a beautiful, healthy and glowing skin is FRUITS. Include plenty of fruits in your diet and you will see the difference within a week. Fruit is essential for both inner and outer beauty since it enhances the beauty of your skin and hair. What makes fruit so wonderful is that it is rich in skin and hair enhancing vitamins, acids, and enzymes.

Fruit can be used in just about every beauty product to cleanse, freshen, tone, and condition our bodies.

Find out the characteristics of the following fruits and what wonders they can do to your skin:

Apples: Apples can used as great conditioner and toner. They have been used for centuries for their skin-healing powers. Add a cup of apple juice to your bath to cleanse and soften your skin. The juice of apple can be used as breathe freshener. Apple juice when applied to your hair scalp can prevent dandruff. Use as a final rinse after shampooing your hair.

Lemons: A classic home beauty ingredient, lemons are used to cleanse and freshen the skin and hair. Use lemon slices to soften rough skin spots such as elbows and heels. Lemon slices also help deodorize and mix a few teaspoons of lemon juice in your bath and you will feel fresh the whole day. Lemon juice can be added to your favourite cleanser or shampoo to refresh and tone your scalp. It also helps prevent dandruff.

Strawberry: Strawberry can be used for conditioning and skin toning treatment. They are rich in salicylic acid an ingredient found in many commercial acne creams and thus are the best treatment for troubled or teenage skin. Mix 1/2-cup fresh strawberries with a tablespoon of sour cream for a weekly facial mask. Eating fresh berries will also help whiten your teeth and keep your breath fresh.

Banana: Banana can be used for moisturising and soothing your skin and hair. They are rich in protein and natural fats and can be used by all skin types. An easy facemask that will make your skin smooth is to apply mashed banana over your skin and keep it for 15 minutes, rinse off with warm water and moisturize well. Mashed banana also makes a wonderful hair conditioner mixed with a teaspoon or two of honey.

Pineapple: Like papaya pineapples are also good skin softeners, which cleanse and rejuvenate dull and dry skin, especially for classic rough skin spots like knees, elbows, and heels. Use a slice of pineapple as you would a sponge or loofah to scrub your body in the bath or shower.

Papaya: Papaya is rich in natural enzymes and is the best treatment for cleansing your skin. For having a fresh and glowing skin apply the oaste of mashed papaya and 3 teaspoons of aloe vera gel and massage all over your body monthly. Leave on your skin for no more than five minutes and rinse thoroughly. Do not use on your face and avoid sensitive skin areas.

Peaches: Peaches are best for soothing and cleansing dry skin. Mash a fresh peach and combine with a tablespoon of plain yogurt to make a smooth paste. Apply on the skin and keep it for 15 mins and then wash off with cold water.

Papaya do miracles to achieve youthful glowing skin

Perk up your skin and eliminate the day’s worries with papaya. It’s beneficial for skin care and repair. You can use papaya to treat or eliminate old dead skin cells, dandruff and other skin disorders and even to reduce the signs of premature aging.

The following recipes will show you how.

Acne: Apply a mask using the fleshy side of a green papaya skin on the acne. A papaya diet supports the treatment internally. Apply a mask of pickled grated papaya in vinegar once a week. Dilute papaya vinegar with water in a one to 10 ratio and use it as a skin cleanser. Treat stubborn areas with undiluted papaya vinegar and papaya oil.

Age spots: Place the fleshy side of the skin from a mature green papaya onto the age spots until the spots fade.

Dandruff: Shampoo hair with diluted papaya vinegar mixed with lemon juice and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse the hair with diluted papaya vinegar. Papaya hair shampoos are also available in health food stores.

Skin with enlarged pores: Washings or compresses with diluted papaya vinegar.

Skin, rough: Native Americans rub rough skin with the fleshy side of the skin from a ripe papaya.

Skin, unclear: For deep skin cleansing, apply a papaya mask followed by an application of papaya vinegar weekly, diluted with water in a one to 10 ratio.

Skin, hard: Repeatedly apply squeezed leaves or the fleshy side of the skin from a green fruit. For hard skin on the foot, use papaya vinegar in foot baths.

Sunspots: Apply the fleshy side of the skin from a green fruit to the spots. Also apply papaya vinegar to the spots.

Wrinkles: Old skin cells make wrinkles deeper. Use a papaya powder (sold in health food stores as "Paw-Paw Condiment") face mask to reduce old dead skin cells and to make the skin smoother. Apply the fleshy side of the skin from a green papaya. In rare cases and with long-term application, highly concentrated papaya could cause sensitivity and skin irritation.

Papaya Vinegar

Cut the fruit (with the skin) into thin slices. Fill two-thirds of a glass jar with the papaya. Pour in apple cider vinegar until the papaya is well covered. Let mature for four weeks. Strain out the papaya and the vinegar is ready to use. Papaya Oil

Cut the skin or leaves of a papaya into small pieces and place them into a pot (do not use an aluminum pot). Add enough extra-virgin olive oil to cover all the pieces. Simmer the oil for five minutes, then store the oil and plant parts in a cool place. After two days, extract the oil by squeezing the plant parts in a towel.

Skin Cleanser
3 Tbsp (45 mL) pure honey 1/2 tsp (2 mL) extra-virgin olive oil 1/2 tsp (2 mL) wheat germ oil 1 tsp (5 mL) papaya juice Mix the ingredients together. Wash the skin with warm water. Gently massage the cleanser onto moist skin, then rinse well with water. Apply twice daily. Skin Toner
2 tsp (10 mL) papaya vinegar 1/4 cup (60 mL) rose water 4 tsp (20 mL) lavender water Mix the ingredients together. Use twice daily. Moisturizing Oil
2 Tbsp (30 mL) papaya oil 4 tsp (20 mL) calendula oil 1 tsp (5 mL) almond oil 1 tsp (5 mL) rosehip oil Mix the ingredients together. Gently massage into the skin twice daily. Papaya Fruit Mask
