"Cleaning The House Together Makes Things Easier"

" 4 Reasons Your Family Won't Help Clean and How to Solve the Problem "

Many people feel that their spouses and/or children don’t help out enough around the house. In addition to a general dislike of household chores, there may be significant factors influencing your family’s decision not to pitch in. If you feel like a lone warrior in a war against dirt and debris in the home, it may be time to look at the reasons your family is failing in the fight.

Reason #1: Their way isn’t the right way.

If you are the type of supervisor who is never satisfied with other peoples’ results, you may be teaching your housecleaning recruits to fail. Make sure your demands are reasonable. Your husband may not want to use the same method to scrub a tub that you do. If the tub gets clean and you did not have to do it, does it really matter? If your family is failing at accomplishing the job, they may not fully understand what you expect. “Clean the bathroom” can be a vague request. Consider posting a list of what cleaning the bathroom really involves. Try the 15 Minute Cleanups for steps to clean any room in the house. Your family will understand what is required and you will be more likely to have a job well done.

Reason #2: They do not know how.

Sometimes we forget that jobs that are easy for us, may be a mystery to the rest of our family. (Especially if they are used to having someone else do all the work.) Just as jobs outside the home have training periods, incorporate teaching chore requirements to your children. Consider a few days of side-by-side cleaning, followed by supervised cleaning. Be sure not to fall into the trap of over criticizing. You will risk a workers revolution. Training your help will alleviate the frustration of them being overwhelmed by what to do. Besides showing them how to accomplish certain chores, also show them how to make chores fun.

Reason #3: It’ll get done eventually.

Nothing will happen if they don’t do it.
Consider your family member's motivation to clean. Do they have one? If you have consistently cleaned their messes for them, suddenly asking them to take responsibility may come as a shock. Soften the blow by holding a family council and discussing the responsibilities associated with each family member. This is a great time to bring up consequences for not following the plan.

There may be natural consequences. If laundry is not brought to the laundry room every Monday, people will not have clothes to wear. Other families may tie treats, allowances, or TV time to chore completion. It may take them experiencing these consequences a few times to get the idea across.

Reason #4: Everyone is too busy and overscheduled.

If your family is overscheduled and overwhelmed, you are probably feeling the pressure of not enough time in the day. You can look to your family to help pick up the slack, but are they just as busy as you are? Many families today have few minutes left over in the day to tackle ordinary household chores.

If your family is trapped in a time crunch it may be time to reevaluate priorities to insure that necessary maintenance for your home is included. Don’t forget to incorporate leisure time inside the home into your schedule. Help your family learn that their efforts at accomplishing chores can remake their home into an oasis from the chaos of the outside world.

"We Need Change"

A Cycle
AM for everyone

The prices of the prime commodities in the market today are skyrocketing. It is on of the many effects of the global increase of the price of crude oil that is hitting every nation of the world. Indeed it has many consequences. Rich and poor countries will suffer dramatically but the greater effect will be felt by those third-world nations including the Philippines. And worst of all, it is directly hitting the biggest economy of the world; the United States.

And an economic recession is under way along with the rest of the world. An economic downfall of the US will mean a bad economy for whole world since US is the biggest trading partners of all the countries and its mighty dollars dictate the currency and stock markets of the world.

And the gap of the haves and have-nots will be widened once again because of this phenomenon. Some economic analyst said it will not last longer because of the so-called economic cycle where one nation really undergoes a series of ups and downs of its economic growth. And eventually it will stabilize the goodness of all. There are many factors that will determined whether the present economic slowdown will hit hard or last longer depending on the policies and will of the people of a certain nation.

In our case, the worsening increase of basic commodities like the rice and other foods directly hit our poor citizenry. The very basic needs of the people can no longer be bought in a lesser price as before. The minimum wage earner will no longer afford even a decent meal since his salary is not enough for his family’s needs. And it will worsen if our lawmakers will do nothing which will alter the trend in the price in the market today.

And if we will took deeper for the cause of it all, it will boil down to one thing; corruption. And we don’t care since it is but a natural phenomenon for the Filipino. We are indeed corrupt and will be corrupt for the longest time. This is a negative pronouncement but it is the truth and the reforms needed are not yet in our generation I guess.

Even though there are so many militants group today, they are not capable of overthrowing the government since they are in one way or the other are corrupt also. I have seen many political idealists in my younger years but in the end they are swallowed by the same money that they are trying to remove before. How many militant groups who are once for the poor but now they are the one who are in Congress doing nothing for the poor?

They are once an aggressive agent of reforms but now they are in a situation when they cannot separate their personal interest to those interests of the masses. They are once in Mendiola but now they are in Congress doing nothing. Well they are doing well in press where they are claiming to oust PGMA but what the hell they are being bought by the same person they are trying to remove.

And in the final analysis, we the people are always the losers. Even the next generation will not be exempted to the effects of the happenings of today. They will suffer the consequences as we are suffering the consequences of the mistakes of the past generations. A cycle that will eventually keep on turning unless we do something about it. An act that will destroy all the idealisms and myths about the real situation of our nations. A revolution within!

"Awareness ,The Earth,Our Habitat"

Global warming is perhaps the most important environmental problem in the world today. Levels of greenhouse gases are increasing in the atmosphere due to human activities, and are changing the composition of the atmosphere and global warming. Climate scientists agree that human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels contribute to the problem. Scientists have predicted the phenomemon of global warming for decades. Unfortunately, some of the adverse effects of global warming, they have also predicted begin to occur throughout the world, including:

Growing incidence of droughts in some areas, floods in others;
The rising temperatures of oceans and the sea level;
increase extreme weather events such as tornadoes and hurricanes;

The melting of mountain glaciers and the reduction of snow cover;
Dying coral reefs, and
Coastal erosion, and loss of coastal ecosystems.

While a handful of skeptics continue to discuss science, the World 'scientists agree: science is in. Global warming is happening.

What is global warming

What scientists say: The Intergovernmental Group of Experts on International Climate Change (IPCC), an organization of more than 2000 climate scientists , has produced three scientific assessments concerning climate change and, in each, has concluded that global warming occurs, and is related to human activity. Their latest report (January 2001) stated that: "There is new and stronger evidence that most of the warming observed over the last 50 years is attributable to human activities."

The US National Academy of Sciences (NAS) concluded in June 2001 that: "Greenhouse gases are accumulating in Earth 'atmosphere as a result of human activities, causing air temperatures on the surface and subsurface of the Ocean temperatures on the rise. Temperatures are, in fact increasing. "And he added: " national policy decisions made now and in the longer-term future will influence the extent of any damage suffered by vulnerable populations and ecosystems later in this century. "The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) issued an unprecedented alert in July 2003 warning that " Extreme weather events Might Increase "in the world.

The alert tied a record number of extreme weather events such as tornadoes and heat waves in 2003 to global warming. The alert said: "Record extremes in weather and climate events continue to occur around the world. Recent scientific assessments indicate that, as the global temperatures continue to warm due to climate change, the number and intensity of extreme events might increase. "Here in the United States, some states are taking action. The private sector is also responding to this challenge.

What is global warming What is the United States about global warming? The Bush administration, unfortunately, has turned its back on this problem. Shortly after taking office in 2001, President Bush went back on a campaign promise to regulate carbon emissions from the power plants (a major source of pollution to global warming).

The Climate Change Plan announced by President Bush in February 2002, calls for a 18 percent reduction of greenhouse gases "intensity " in 2012, which translates into a 14 per cent more greenhouse gases during this period. As pointed out by the US General Accounting Office (GAO) in October, 2003 report, however, the "plan " represents virtually 'business as usual. 'The report states: "While the emissions of greenhouse gases in the United States rose Significantly, the Energy Information Administration of the United States reported that the emission intensity has been generally declining steadily since 50 years.

"The Bush Climate Change Plan allows greenhouse gases continue to rise while the long decline in emissions intensity is also continued. Fortunately, the United States Congress are beginning to demand action in the light of the continued blocking of the Bush administration. In the very first Senate vote on a mandate of the American policy cuts greenhouse gases, which took place in October 2003, 43 members of the Senate voted in favor of the measure, with 55 voting members of the objection.

The authors of legislation, Senator from Arizona John McCain and Senator Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut have promised to push for another vote on the bill, the Climate Stewardship Act, in 2004, and believe that they may even have enough votes for the measure to pass the Senate.
