"Letting Go"

Learning to Let Go

First, I want to say thank you to those of you that came out to play on my blog-dick blog. It was like an improv. comedy show featuring friends! When you talk to each other here, I smile and laugh and learn. I love the sense of community.

Sometimes it feels like we're having a wild block party and other times it's like we're sitting on a front porch swing, drinking green tea (nod to Melissa), learning to let go and grow. That's what I want to talk about today, letting go and growing. Despite the fact that most of us wish our children to have bright, beautiful childhoods and would shield them from ugliness and harm, ugliness and harm come.

Despite our wishing it weren't so, parents hurt their children. Many of us know this from personal experience. We remember being hurt by the people that ought to have loved us and protected us; it's a pain that is hard to let go of.
Sometimes disease and disaster are visited on children and we are powerless to stop it. Many of us remember childhood as a time of suffering. I believe that childhoods of sunshine and kisses are the rarer thing. This is not new. It is not a sign of our declining society. It has always been so.

Do you realize that most nursery rhymes have dark origins? Ring Around the Rosy is about the Bubonic Plague. A symptom of the plague was a rosy rash in the shape of a ring. Ashes, ashes... we all fall down is a reference to the burning of bodies.
Rock-a-bye Baby is an American nursery rhyme with a sing-song melody. The lyrics likely reflect the Native American tradition of hanging babies in woven cradles from trees. The wind would sometimes knock them down and... well, babies got hurt, sometimes died.

I've actually seen the very same thing happen in developing countries where I have lived and worked. Children are hung from tree branches in woven slings that keep them cool and rock them while their mothers cultivate bush gardens. I have seen children fall... I have heard mothers scream. Sometimes we make the mistake of thinking that we're unique in our suffering.

We imagine that the average human experience is full of light and that our darkness is the darkest of all. Please hear me, I do not lack empathy. I'm merely saying that throughout history, as reflected in the nursery rhymes that our children chant and sing, children have known suffering. They have not been spared harsh reality. In early societies, children grew up knowing that life is hard. They either lived it or witnessed it.

There was no hiding from pain. It's no different in most societies today. In poorer countries, there are no advocates to protect children from parents who would harm them. There's no community hospital, not even a pharmacy.
They do not see the fresh scrubbed, chubby faces that we see on television screens... portrayals of beautiful, happy children playing with toys. The children who make it to adulthood in developing countries spend no time marinading in their pain. They understand it to be a condition of existence.

Pain comes with living. Here in America, we insulate ourselves and hide from pain. When life is hard, we become steeped in resentment. We think we deserve something easier, better; we become bitter, angry. I hate abuse. I hate suffering. I wish to alleviate it.
My adopted children have known pain beyond what I have known, and my own childhood was far from easy. My husband and I have given them sanctuary because we cannot abide suffering. That said, we don't let our children nurse their pain.
We focus on the fact that they have hope and a future. We focus on the fact that they landed here, in a safe place where they are loved, blessed, cherished. We help them to walk through and move past their pain.Although it may seem counterintuitive, it is NOT a kindness to encourage a child or an adult to wrap themselves in bitterness and pain.

We are fortunate to have been born into a society where we have the luxury of looking back. In developing countries it's not even an option, nor was it in early American history, but just because we CAN spend our lives looking back doesn't mean that we should.
It's good to process the past, to talk about it, to get through it so that we can move beyond it and learn to live in the NOW.

"Cherish All Things That May Come"

Think Of This;

Imagine this: In your hands is a very precious creation so fragile, so valuable that if you keep on holding it, it either stay or fall apart. But you loved this creature so much that letting it go would be comparable to letting go of your life as well, so much that sometimes you wished it would always be there, so much that you tend to be selfish so as you could make it stay for as long as you want.

There comes a time in our lives that a chance upon someone "so nice" and "almost perfect" and we just find ourselves getting so intensely attached to that person (sometimes even without realizing it!). This feeling soon becomes a part of our daily lives and eventually guzzles our thoughts and actions to the extent that we dagged it as one of those "too good to be true" things.

Then in our desperate attempt to get closer, our efforts are still futile and we still feel sorry for ourselves. One person once said, "Never let your heart run your life. As much as you can always be sensible and let your mind speak for itself.

Try to listen not merely on what your feelings are evoking but more importantly listen to reason as well. "Letting go of someone doesn't necessarily mean you have to stop loving, it only means that you allow the person to find his own happiness without expecting him to come back.

Letting go is not just letting the other person free "in the real sense of it," but it is also setting yourself free from all animosities, hostility and resentments that was long kept in your heart. You have to let go because the bitterness often diminishes the strength and weakens the little hope left, making our lives more miserable than ever.

If i lose someone today, it means that someone better is coming tomorrow. If i lose love that doesn't mean i failed in love, probably it was another mismatch in heaven. No love can hurt as much as the love that can never be....and no thoughts can hurt as much as the thought of a love that could have been.

"REASONS"

Know Why?

Rather than thinking of reasons why you can’t, think of the reasons why you must.
Instead of focusing on your problems, focus on your purpose.

There will always be challenges in any endeavor.
Yet for every challenge, there is a way to get through it.
The secret comes in knowing why.

With a strong enough sense of why, anything can be done.
What specifically do you wish to do, and why do you wish to do it?

Dig down deeply into the reasons why, for that is where you’ll find the energy, the persistence, and the commitment to carry you forward.

Don’t be afraid to desire it, and to explore your own personal, meaningful reasons.
By understanding why, you’ll have what you need to figure out how, and to make it happen.

Know why, and watch the challenges melt away.
Know why, and it will be.

"Importance Of Emotional Intelligence"

Emotional Intelligence

We usually believe that intelligent people succeed in life. However, according to psychologists, the intelligence, in its place, is undoubtedly important, but the success does not depend solely on intelligence. In fact the success depends on a hidden talent which guides us to lead a successful life and makes us capable of achieving better prospects in life. The social psychologists believe that for an individual, to be intelligent only, is not sufficient, but it is also necessary that his own personality should be such that it may be helpful for best utilization of the intellect.

Also, it is a fact that these two capabilities are present together in very few individuals. Individuals who are capable of controlling their emotions and intellect at the same time, in fact, know the art of remaining happy and successful for long periods of time and simultaneously they execute their virtues on the social attitudes.

Those who possess the capability of controlling their emotions, act according to the circumstances, become famous for their hard work and confidence and gain the trust of others. On the other hand, those who are very enthusiastic, impatient, emotional and unstable regarding their temperament, are usually not only successful, but, due to their obstinacy in their practical life and by implementing their own ideas and desires, soon fall prey to a feeling of deprivation and accept the failure quickly.

Those, who, instead of making haste in achieving their needs, practise patience, as a matter of fact, conquer their emotions by their wisdom. This act is the manifestation of emotional intelligence, by virtue of which, an individual compromizes with even worst circumstances.

Emotional intelligence, in fact, comprizes of qualities such as good attitude, better behaviour with others, civilized habits and decency, patience and sobriety. Therefore it may be accepted that we can make our conduct better and mature, by virtue of the above-mentioned qualities. Besides, these qualities also prove helpful for achieving better relations with others, better performance, successful married life, and higher goals regarding social and economic aspects of life.

Out of us, those who are capable of understanding that what may be the reaction of others in response to any matter, can lead their lives in a better way. Many of us, in states of anger, anxiety, frustration and hardship, do not care that such frank expression of emotions may cast what type of impressions on others who are associated with them. But those who possess the emotional intelligence can exercise self-control in such situations and if there is a need of emotional expression, they do adopt a suitable way for expressing their emotions To express anger, is an easy job, but Aristotle says
‘’ On the right person, at right time and for a right purpose, it is not easy to express anger in a right manner.’’

If we observe ourselves collectively , we would find that we are such a nation which is least capable of expressing emotional intelligence. We do not have the moral courage for accepting realities. Our tendency to fulfil our needs and wishes, over night,, leads us to the indecent and dishonest acts. And we must appreciate that by adopting such undesireable actions, the success and happiness which is achieved is not long lasting. Nothing is achieved except bad reputation and repentance .

We have many shortcomings regarding moral and conduct, because we want our will to be implemented in all matters and do not allow others to have their due rights. We do not attach any importance to the likings or dislikings of others. We do not respect others and do not pay regards to them. We are gradually running short of many virtues as conduct, decency and gentleness.

To find out the faults of others and dig out the secrets about their short comings, has become our favorite past time. We are deceitful, accuse others and are negligent in routine responsibilities. Inspite of doing all this, we, instead of feeling ashamed, about our wrong, indecent and illegal acts, we think that we are on the right path. All this , is a definite proof of our inferior emotional intelligence. Nevertheless , we should remain hopeful, because, according to psychologists, by making firm decisions and practising perseverance , we can improve the emotional intelligence.

Love and Logic

Love Thyself

It is a fact that if you can't love yourself you cant love anyone else. Self-esteem is also a key ingredient for a healthy relationship. It is good to lean on your partner for reassurance but you, as an individual should be strong to support your relationship through any kind of crisis.

Mutual Love

First of all for a relationship to exist, two people should like each other. And love of all relationships is not static one. If you are in love with each other and agree on what each of you think and behave then a relationship will not have too many problems. Encouraging words help in supporting and building trust and respect.
Spend Quality Time

These days the importance of things can be measured with the amount of time spent on it. It so happens that couples more time initially in a relationship. Later they get busier with other things in life. When this happens it is time for both to sit down and make a priority list. Spending less time together can cause couples to drift away.

Communicate

Communication is the core of any relation ship, more so in the case of a love relationship. It is through communication that you can tell your partner what you are thinking, what you want. Talking can also make a relationship strong as there will also be intellectual bonding as well. It is also important to say things openly and honestly. Communication also includes listening to your partner patiently.

"Lessons in Life"

Something i have learned in life....

NOT ALL THINGS THAT YOU WANTED, THOUGH YOU WORKED HARD JUST TO HAVE IT,IS ALWAYS MEANT TO BE YOURS..SOMEHOW YOU ALSO LOSE...........BUT WHEN YOU LOST SOMEONE OR SOMETHING,THERE WILL COME A BETTER ONE THAT SURELY YOU DESERVE MORE THAN ANYTHING...

PATIENCE IS VIRTUE...BEST LESSON IVE LEARNED....."NEVER LET SOMEONE BE YOUR PRIORITY WHILE ALLOWING YOURSELF TO BE JUST THEIR OPTION....SOMETIMES THE BEST WAY TO BE STRONG IS TO ADMIT THAT YOU ARE WEAK...THAT YOU CAN'T

DO EVERYTHING ON YOUR OWN....WHEN YOU ARE EXPERIENCING PAIN...DON'T IGNORE YOUR FEELINGS...FEEL THE PAIN UNTIL IT HURTS YOU NO MORE...REMIND YOURSELF THAT IT'S OKAY TO CRY BECAUSE WHEN THE STORM HAS PASSED YOU WILL NATURALLY EMERGE AS A STRONGER AND BETTER PERSON.......WHEN YOUVE FOUND A REASON TO WALK AWAY NEVER LOOK BACK JUST KEEP WALKIN.......IT'S BETTER GET LOST MOVING ON THAN TO GET STRUCK AND STRANDED BROKEN....

TRUST SHOULD BE LIKE THE FEELING OF A ONE YEAR OLD BABY...WHEN YOU THROW HIM IN THE AIR HE KNOWS YOU WILL NEVER LET HIM FALL.....SLEEPING IS A RELIEF....AN ESCAPE FROM THE TRUE WORLD....COZ WHO WOULD EVER WANT A DAY AWAKE WHEN REALITY IS FAR FROM WHAT THE HEART WANTS....SINCERITY IS A FRANKNESS OF HEART..WE FIND IT IN VERY FEW PEOPLE,AND WHAT WE USUALLY SEE IS ONLY A DELICATE DISSIMULATION TO GAIN THE CONFIDENCE OF OTHERS...

"OUR SPECIAL SOMEONE ARE THE SPICES OF OUR LIVES, WITH OUT THEM LIFE WOULD BE SO BLUNT!!!TOO BAD THEY HAPPEN TO BE TOO SPICY THAT OFTEN GET US TEARY-EYED.........SOMETIMES,LIFE HAS A CRUEL WAY OF PUTTING THINGS TOGETHER...MAYBE IT'S BETTER IF PEOPLE JUST GIVE UP WHEN THERE'S NO POINT IN FIGHTING FOR SOMETHING ANYMORE...

WHEN THE SHIP HAS FINALLY SAILED, ONLY A FOOL WOULD GO AFTER IT WHEN IT'S ALREADY MILES AWAY...BUT SOMETIMES, IT'S A LOT BETTER TO BE A FOOL TO GO AFTER WHAT WE WANT AND NEED RATHER THAN TO REGRET EVERYTHING IN THE END BECAUSE WE NEVER EVEN TRIED....-CAPT JACK SPARROW.....STAYING W/ SOMEONE YOU REALLY LIKE EVEN IF IT'S BETTER LETTING GO IS LIKE STANDING UNDER THE RAIN...IT'S FEELS GOOD BUT YOU KNOW IT WILL MAKE YOU SICK......

TWO OF THE HARDEST TESTS IN LIFE:

1) THE PATIENCE TO WAIT FOR THE RIGHT MOMENT....&

2) THE COURAGE TO ACCEPT THAT YOU'VE WAITED FOR NOTHING.......THE RAIN FALLS BECAUSE THE SKY CAN NO LONGER HANDLE IT'S HEAVINESS...JUST LIKE TEARS ....IT FALLS....BECAUSE THE HEART CAN NO LONGER HANDLE THE PAIN....

QUESTION...WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TELL SOMEONE YOU LOVE HIM/HER.....

ANSWER:....BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE DOES....SMILE AT INSULTS...LAUGH AWAY ANGER & YOUR SOUL WILLFOREVER BE AT PEACE...REMEMBER THE LINE ON PRINCESS DIARIES?NO ONE CAN EVER HURT YOU W/O YOUR CONSENT....A NICE THOUGHT....

THOSE NIGHTS WHEN YOU CAN'T SLEEP...IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE YOU'RE AWAKE IN SOME ONE ELSE'S DREAMS...TAKE TIME TO LISTEN TO YOUR HEART SOMETIMES YOU NEED NOT TO ASK YOURSELF WHO YOU REALLY LOVE MOST BUT ASK YOURSELF WHO REALLY MAKES YOU HAPPY AND WHO MAKES YOU FEEL LOVED....

"We Need To Learn From Our Mistakes"

Learn From Your Mistakes

Life is like a giant puzzle. Each of us has a picture in our minds of how our lives will turn out. We keep adding pieces, one at a time, attempting to create that beautiful picture.

If one piece does not fit, we replace it with another. We never get all the pieces in the right place on the first try.

It's all about experimenting until each piece fits together with the next.Though our futures may not be clear or turn out exactly as we expected, each of us has the strength inside to put the puzzle together.

We just have to look for the right pieces. It may seem impossible, but keep striving.
Life's pieces have a way of falling into place when you least expect it.

Keep on beginning and failing. Each time you fail, start all over again, and you will grow stronger until you have accomplished a purpose - not the one you began with perhaps, but one you'll be glad to remember.

Setbakcs and disappointments are something we all experience at one time or another.

But if you refuse to believe in failure, you'll be able to find a way to open up all those doors that at one time you thought were closed to you forever.

If you mark something down as a failure, then that's what it will be.

But if you make up your mind to get the better of the situation, an experience that you once labeled as a failure can become another steppingstone toward happiness.

So the next time something doesn't turn out exactly as you'd hoped, turn it around, be a fighter.

Remember: it's the people who can turn a negative into a positive and bounce back who really get ahead in life.

"Learn To Forgive"

How to Forgive...

I have had some pretty strange experiences with people and some really life-changing beautiful experiences too.

As of late it seems many people around me are clashing and some are standing up for themselves, some are standing on others, and some are standing away from the rest of them...avoiding collateral damage, I'd imagine.

Sometimes we are given messages and we ignore them. Sometimes we are given messages and they hit us in the head. The trick is keeping your eye open in case you notice something trying to get your attention...

How To Forgive

The past cannot be undone. What you change is...how you feel about it.

Make The Change Happen - How are you going to do it, my friend? You're all done feeling wretched all the time, you know forgive does not mean forget, you are soooo ready, but you need a plan. Read on, my friend, and find out how to get the benefits of forgiveness for yourself. Right now.

Guilt and Hatred Are Killers - Ask any doctor. Stress is a killer. This is because your body and mind are a continuum. In other words, although they are not entirely the same, a great overlap exists that unites them. Relieve your mental stress and your body will be happier too. Nothing relieves mental stress like forgiveness.

Guilt and hatred resolve nothing; they just sustain the negativity that continues to obstruct you from your goals. Forgiveness, on the other hand, undoes the stickiness that binds you to an unhappy past.

Does It Work? - Absolutely - for you. Since the forgiveness experience will happen only for you, only you will receive its benefits. Your forgiveness may not influence a change in the behavior of others one bit. But it's not about them. It's about you.

Forgiveness is about generating your own healing. You are the only player in your life over whom you have all the power. It's time to exercise your personal power, your right to choose to feel better about who you are, your right to process your past and move on with your life.

It's a Private Thing - Since forgiving is all about you getting your own heart clear, it's best done in the privacy of your own mind. Afterwards you'll have the choice of telling others, if you like, but initially the process works best in solitude. Tell no one, just do the work. And watch how easy it is to feel better all day every day.

Contrast this to the fact that all the pity parties in the world with your friends and relatives never made you feel better one bit.

Those tactics don't work because they don't process emotions, they merely create a feedback loop that deepens the groove of the pain. Since you know that what you used to do didn't work, it's time to do what does.

Forgive in Steps - Like a pyramid, forgiveness may seem overwhelming at first, but it's easily accomplished step by step.So begin by recognizing that there are three sections:

*1.Forgiveness of Others - When you forgive others in categories, it proceeds more easily. For example, you could choose to use the categories of Strangers, Friends, Family, The People who Hurt You The Most, and Anybody Else. You may include additional categories like Exlovers, Neighbors, Coworkers, Employees, etc., and some forgivers need to add the category of Humanity Itself. And you can start with the categories you find easiest. Once you notice how good it feels to forgive, this will inspire you to forgive everyone as much as possible, as fully as you can.

*2.Self Forgiveness - In this step, start with your earliest years and ascend: Newborn, three year old, five year old, ten year old, teenager, 20s, etc., and on up to your current age, forgiving yourself thoroughly for absolutely everything as you go. Once you get to your current age, forgive yourself for your whole life. Remember, all humans are flawed. No one is a perfect son or daughter, man or woman, husband or wife, student or teacher, worker or boss. You are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them. Forgiveness is an optimal method to process your learnings.

*3.Receiving Forgiveness from Others - In the privacy of your own mind, visualize then apologize to folks you've wronged, and let them accept your apology. It may surprise you to learn that others really want to forgive you. They do. So let them forgive you and receive the cleansing of that forgiveness. Afterwards, with some people, you may elect to actually apologize to them in person, but proceed carefully. There are a few folks in the world who can not accept apologies in real life, and this is why you process all of your apologies in your mind's eye thoroughly first, so that you get the emotional benefit of having apologized whether those apologies get accepted in real life or not.

Forgive by Percentages in Repeated Attempts - Can you forgive the people who hurt you the most 10%? 20%? 80%? 99.9%? It's not all or nothing. Ease on up to higher and higher percentages, always aiming for 100% forgiveness, but being real with yourself. If the people who hurt you the most are not 100% forgiveable on your first attempt, continue forgiving them bit by bit till you get as close to full forgiveness as possible. Start with a realistic percentage, then increase your forgiveness on subsequent attempts, always aiming for 100%. Just do your best.

Forgiving People Versus Events - It can be one thing to forgive individual people, and can yet be quite another thing to forgive the things those people did. What to do? Forgive the events and actions as they come to mind. As you think of instance after instance, forgive everyone involved as best you can for everything that happened.

Acceptance Is Not A Sign Of Defeat,It's Humility

WOMEN WHO ARE ALWAYS RIGHT

Disclaimer- This is not about ALL women nor is it about anyone in particular. Just some experiences I have had. Take it with a grain of salt.

I am a man.

I am a brilliant individual. I see things, know things, and understand things very clearly. I see underneath to true meanings, I see behind words to emotions. In general, I know exactly what I am talking about.

EXACTLY.

And I know I am not incorrect. I knowwwwwww I am right.

Sometimes, women just don't want to admit it. They cannot believe I have sniffed out their dramas. So what do they do? They ride it all the way down to the bottom. They stick with their story. They insist I am incorrect. They insist they are innocent. THEN they insist that it is I who am wrong, and try to be indignant and offended and turn it all around on me. They have just been all peachy and wonderful and it is I who is in the wrong entirely. They will sometimes even tell me I said things, that make their case, whether I ever did say them or not.

Then I say "I didn't say that" and they accuse me of more error, like I don't even know what I am saying. Nope. My mind is clear and I know exactly what I said. I also know that now you are making things up, proving what I already knew. You are full of it.

Sometimes, when I point out what is really going on, they insist I am wrong because they don't even realize what they have done or said, and that I have seen through it so concisely, before they have even realized their own intent.

I'm that good.

But since they are women, I generally believe that they know what they are doing. Women are way smart, but sometimes they talk to me like I am the normal dumb-ass guy who they can get over on.

I am not.

Not for one second.

BUT

Why can't some girls ever stop and say "you know what? You are right."

and mean it?

I will tell you why. Because they can't tolerate being wrong, and the concept that a man has just penetrated their nonsense. Further, whatever they were trying to accomplish is no longer going to work, so they have to persist with the mess to see if they can eventually get me to start questioning myself, or, if I will get sick of trying to argue and just concede or relent because we can't agree and I hate arguing. Sometimes they even try and tell me I have lost it completely. I haven't lost anything honey. I know exactly what is going on. I am not making it up. Do you think I can't see?

Now ladies, we know that sometimes you want us to see your point of view. No matter how right we think we are, or how nonsensical your views seem to be, we need to stop and recognize that this is how you feel anyway, and it doesn't have to make sense, but we need to acknowledge it, legitimize it, and take you into account.

But do you realize that you have to do that too?

Sometimes you have to admit that you are wrong. Sometimes you have to realize that you have come across a certain way, whether you intended to or not, and now you need to make it right or check yourself.

You want me to come clean and be honest? Admit I have been a jerk, or that I blew it somewhere? Admit that I need to improve myself for a deep character flaw?

You need to be honest with yourself then. Can you ever admit- yes, Sam, I have been a close minded individual who gets upset about things I shouldn't. Yes, I was trying to manipulate you. I know I am a conniving, irrational wack job sometimes, and I am going to make a sincere effort to get better?

"Yes, Sam, I am in the wrong here?!?!?!"

is your pride too big to ask me for help with not being such an idiot?

Do you want me to face and correct all my shortcomings-

and think that you simply don't have to?

Because I will sniff them out, and present them clearly, and I expect the same honesty and humbleness that you expect from me. If you can't handle that, and admit you are WRONG, then you can't expect any of that honesty or humility from me. Don't you sit there and try to sell me some dramas about how you are never this way or that way like other girls when it's as plain as the nose on your face that you are, in fact, like that.

I know you are wrong, I know you know exactly what I am talking about, and now I want you to back off and get real with me, like you know you should. Because you can't fool me. Own it.

I can handle that, and I will appreciate your honesty.

There's the bigger issue, too, that once I have established that you aren't as great as you want everyone to think, and I am far more brilliant than you ever thought, you will now no longer be able to run your drama, manipulate, control, or make me feel inferior to you. And that makes you as uncomfortable and as insecure as you have ever felt in your life... so you try and to regain that by catching me in some screw-up or just refusing to admit when you are wrong and trying to still blame me. There's also the problem that if it turns out I am right, that means that your behavior and treatment of me is unacceptable, and you aren't going to want to change that, admit that, improve yourself, or apologize.

Its just like when you KNOW a guy is lying to you and he just keeps on trying to run that bullshit and is making himself look ridiculous- except now its you that is doing that, and I know it just as well. It embarrasses us both, it makes you look ridiculous, and insults me that you think I am that dumb.

Give up the act, cut the drama, and admit you are busted.

THEN we can talk.

"Acceptance Of True Self"

We are who we are

It's not important what people think of us, what is important is what we think of ourselves, be proud of who you are, don't let peoples malicious comments affect you, be stronger than they are and say, I am proud of who I am, what I do and what i stand for & it`s not for you to bring me down, you generally find that people who critisize, have something to hide themselves, remember, a wrongly placed comment can ruin many a life, physical wounds almost always heal, psychological wounds sometimes never do.

"Confidence Is Knowing Your Ability With Pure Intention"

Confidence Vs Arrogance - Get It Right

Many people have wondered the differences of confidence vs. arrogance.

The discussion of confidence vs arrogance brings to light many similarities and differences between the two characteristics. Confidence vs arrogance also focuses the attention on the way each of these characteristics affects the behavior of a given individual.

Below is a list of differences and similarities between these two characteristics. You can decide for yourself when it comes to confidence vs arrogance which characteristics fit you best accordingly.

1. Confidence vs arrogance both involve believing in one’s abilities.

A person who is confident understands they have certain areas of strength. A person who is arrogant also believes that have certain areas of strength. A person with confidence will also understand others maybe stronger, and that each person is a complete package of strengths and weaknesses so will remain humble in both. An arrogant person will often neglect to acknowledge weakness in light of playing up the strengths.
2. Confidence vs arrogance often stem from two different roots.

Arrogance is often underplayed by insecurity. An arrogant person tends to be arrogant to compensate for areas of weakness that distress the individual. An arrogant person may seem to ignore any areas of weakness and only play up areas of strength, but they often do so because of an inability to come to terms with weakness.

A confident person finds the root of their confidence in self acceptance - a key confidence vs arrogance difference.

A confident person accepts their weaknesses or faults, even though they may not like them. This acceptance enables the confident person to handle faults with grace and without further compacting the areas of weakness with arrogance. These are key points when understanding confidence vs arrogance.

3. The effects of confidence vs arrogance on relationships clearly mark the difference between the two characteristics.

An arrogant person tends to brag and can put others down in an attempt to be the best or come out the coolest. A confident person is above such antics. They recognize their strengths and weaknesses, and allow that other people will have strengths and weaknesses.

A confident person need not make life a competition, so a confident person is often much easier to be around. An arrogant person can be cocky and difficult to reason with, making conversation difficult and bothersome.

4. The physical manifestations of confidence vs arrogance also help distinguish them.

Arrogance is often associated with a swaggering walk and a posture that is overly commanding and dominating. Body language of an arrogant person differs from that of a confident person. A confident person can adopt an open and easy posture that allows others to approach them. An arrogant person is often more aggressive and harder to approach.

Confidence vs arrogance involves truly two different characteristics, sharing only a perceived appreciation for a particular strength. Arrogance, sadly, often accompanies a lack of confidence so that the arrogant person still hurts underneath.

The question of confidence vs arrogance is not a difficult one, and most people would rather be on the confident side of the fence.

"Do We Really Know What Unconditional Love Means?"

unconditional love! its so simple, yet so difficult for so many people to truly grasp these days. Sure people tell their family and siginificant others "i will love you unconditionally" but what does that REALLY mean?

Love Never Fails

And are people really following that or is it just another statement, phrase of reassurance spoken into the air...People tend to put conditions on love; i will always love you as long as...[insert condition here]...as long as you make me happy, as long as you keep a steady job for our family...as long as you don't piss me off...unconditional love is not just pouring all of your love and energy into your one significant other, it is sharing and spreading the love that your soul is made of with ALL other beings on this earth. We are all one and the same functioning entity living this existence right now at this very second.

We are all trying to survive, and be happy, love, and be loved so why not make it easy on ourselves and help the positive vibrations flourish by automatically loving every being!...now you may think i sound like just some crazy love-spreading hippie, but realistically i just want to bring awareness to something so simple, yet so overlooked. It is natural it seems to have people whom you disagree with or do not care for at all, but crazy enough you still have to have love for them as human beings because, all people are just people DOING THE BEST THEY CAN AT THE LEVEL OF CONSCIOUSNESS THEY ARE AT.

We are all on the path to enlightenment, whether everyone understands that or not. We are all simply at different mile markers down the same path and we can not judge a person or put them down for not walking the same speed that we are walking down the path. All must be excepted and loved UNCONDITIONALLY for simply being a part of the same existence and energy force as we are a part of. The Beatles had it right ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE...

"Tolerance,is it a solution?"

Forgiveness

Should We Forgive & Forget?

If We Are Mistreated ? What Should We Do ?

Should We Tolerate It ? Ignore ? Or Speak up ?

If You Are Mistreated Is Silence A Sign of Being Good Hearted Or Cowardness?

When To Fight & When To Walked Away ?

Accepting Wrong Doings Are The Same Thing As Tolerating It ?

Would You Tolerate What You Are Aware Is Wrong?

...........Forgiveness is something that all of us should learn because grudges that had been kept will result to anger, hatred to violence.Forgiveness is not something that is easy to give much more if you had been hurt so much but still we should try our best to find forgiveness in our hearts.Forgiveness is emptying our hearts from hatred that could be a root of evil.Forgiveness is just cleansing your hearts from thoughts that causes the pain. But we are not force to forget , no one can forget the memories of the past but try to look at in a more positive way.Learn from your pains & hatred,it does'nt mean that you should plant pain because you sowed one.Start the change from you,the pain that had been your handicapped can be diverted to strength not as a pioson that can immobilized you as a person.Remember it has been known for generations that "what goes around comes around".Don't be a victim & don't stay as one.Don't immitate the one that had cause you pain, speak up but never do things that just can worsen things. Instead make them realized the wrong things they had done, realization is more painful & unforgetable. If you had been mistreated or cheated don't make the same mistake you are just keeping the pain within you.Conscience is more powerful it may not hit you immediately but it is a punishment that you can give someone that had hurt you.If the are hit it will haunt them in for a lifetime.

..................If you are mistreated once or twice you can tolerate it depending upon the offense made. But if you had been repeatedly mistreated don't let it to continue.Don't let anyone mistreat you because if you allow them then you will be treated this way forever.Sometimes tolerating leads to addiction,so never tolerate someone to mistreat you in any kind of way.If you can't give value to yourself no one will. You are the sole protector of your ownself don't depend on anyone to be there for you all times. You need to be a survivor.Tolerance is a rust that can destroy you as a whole being.Don't be immune to things that should not been done by anyone. No one has any right to mistreat anyone in anyway. We have all equal rights.Treat people by how the treat you not by any other reasons.

..............Tolerating what you know that is wrong is an act of cowardness & ignorance. We should never let anyone mistreat us let them know how you should treated because if you will not set rules on how people should treat you then they will abuse you & repeatedly mistreat you.You should learn to respect yourself so others can respect you on how you want to be treated w/ respect.

..............If anyone mistreated or done something wrong on you don't be afraid to speak up & depend yourself because silence means acceptance.Ignoring is never a good solution, you are just giving them the opportunity to hurt you again. We should have courage to depend ourselves to whoever mistreated us ,whatever status, whoever they are...Being in authority do not have any right to mistreat anyone ,power & authority should never be use to abuse or mistreat anyone.

.............Acting like you don't see or don't hear that something was wrong & something should be done to correct the situation will just make the situation worse. We tend to pretend to be blind even we are aware of the thing that has been in the front of our noses all along. We should start standing for ourselves bec. if we can't do it now we will never be able to stand out for what is right. We should overcome the fear inside us to depend what is right , fear is just in the mind .Remember if you are in the right side & you know that you hadn't done anything wrong there is no single reason to be afraid of.Your innocence is your greatest source of strength.

"Change is all we need,Acceptance & Realization"

Start Improving your Life without you realizing it your helping to
Change the World.

"Small deeds counts if it comes from your heart,
big deeds are meaningless if it comes from your intentions."

What do I believe? I believe in the perfection of the universe and that we all have the power to choose our own realities. I believe that children need good parents, that parents need each other, that everyone needs friends, that siblings are different on purpose, that smart people can become stupid and that everyone can learn something, that life can be cruel if we believe in cruelty, that life can be kind if we believe in kindness, that mean people suck but deserve to be loved, educated, and given a chance to heal if we expect them to change, that serial victims are mean people too, that the devil doesn't need anymore advocates, but abused and neglected children do, that words & actions have limitations and intimacy is most often found in soft silences, that God doesn't make bad children.... and that... Miracles are everywhere just waiting to be discovered.

"Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself."

"If you judge people, you have no time to love them"
"The most important trip you may take in life is meeting people halfway. "

I learned the hard way that I cannot always count on others to respect my feelings, even if I respect theirs. Being a good person doesn't guaran
tee that others will be good people, too. You only have control over yourself and how you choose to be as a person. As for others, you can only choose to accept them or walk away.

Life is a path, a series of moments strung together. Money, beauty and power have little importance; everyone loses their way. And what matters most - who is there beside you to lead you home.

What we miss in life is not what we will never have but what we have never felt.

I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire. I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible, to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise. I choose to risk my significance; to live so that which comes to me as seed goes to the next as blossom and that which comes to me as blossom, goes on as fruit.

Life is just a mirror, and what you see out there, you must first see inside of you.

Give out your heart with no expectations
Live out your life with no explanations
Give it your all with full determination
You deserve the skies with no limitations

Don't expect to get, what you don't give.

If you always do what you have always done then you will always get what you have always gotten.

"REJECTION"

REJECTION IS PART OF LOVE

its nice to be love and to love
but its hurt to be rejected by the one you love
you thinking that your not good enough for him/her.
not only you and me has been rejected
all of us we experienced that
yes it is hurt to be rejected but u need to hold on
and move on w/ your life.
and one thing don't think that he/she rejected u bec.
you r not good enough maybe u just love the wrong person
or she/he have somebody else
even her/him has been rejected you just the same
don't even compare yourself to others make your own rule.
open your eyes in reality that REJECTION is a part of LOVE
you will hurt once or twice but use it as a challenge to you
don't overcome with your feeling
sometimes you need to use your mind
not just your heart in having a decision.
maybe he is not the right man or girl for u
learn for your experience and be strong for it
until one day love is on your front door.

"Forgive but not Forget"

About Love - Forgiving

What do we do when we hold grudges in our hearts which we feel badly about? How can we allow anyone to love us if we do not love ourselves? Love has many pitfalls and it is necessary for us to find peace within our hearts and to find love for ourselves before we can love anyone else or feel secure regarding the love of others have for us.

When we hold bitterness in our hearts for which we feel ashamed, anger, pain, resentment or any other negative feelings we find it difficult to love ourselves. Indeed, many of us come to hate ourselves with a passion and we may set about to destroy ourselves either deliberately or through neglect or by sub-conscious self-sabotage.

We may feel great despair that no one should love us because of the dark issues in our hearts, and we will very often convince ourselves that no one can ever truly love us because of our poor regards for ourselves. In this state, because we feel we are unlovable we will tend to perceive that the love of others have for oneself as selfish and riddled with ulterior motives even if that love is pure and selfless; in this manner we spoil the gift of love that others may try to share with us thereby doing both to oneself and those who love us results to a great injustice.

While many of us do not reach such extremes and deliberately self destructive state in regarding to oneself, the dark places in our hearts, most of us are afflicted by some bitterness & hatred in our hearts and we sub-consciously undermine our lives with our efforts to punish ourselves for whatever pain & grief we keep deep in our hearts.

That part of our lives which receives the most damage from oneself loathing and sabotaging our relationships with people we love most or desire. We must find it within our capacity to forgive ourselves for anything that had occur or experienced to leave pain & anger we feel deep inside us.Forgiving oneself or letting go the pain will help us recover & ease the pain.

Forgiving others is like seeking to be forgiven, it is not necessary to seek out those whom you wish to forgive. However, if an opportunity arises to speak kind words of forgiveness to someone who has hurt you then you should take that moment as a golden opportunity to help yourself and to help that other person so that you may both heal and become happier human beings.

It is always a good idea to act in that moment and to immediately create new healing. Forgiveness is a wonderful blessing. It can be easy to give and yet it enriches our lives immensely. However, when we find it difficult to forgive oneself or anyone else then the sores in our hearts can fester and these sores will slowly poison us day by day making our lives darker and leading us into greater misery, pain and despair all of which may often be unnecessary.

We should search forgiveness within ourselves so we can see that what we had been through had taught us something good.Forgiving oneself will make us easier to move on & get back on the track. But if we choose to neglect the roots of our pain and the miseries,we will be unable to address the issues in our lives which linger on the unresolved, and which will then continue to harm us.

"Forgiveness is all about love...I know that forgiving is easily said but cannot be easily done."But always try to find the good part of it & use what you have learned from each pain you had experienced that can contribute in making you a better person.Forgiveness is setting yourself free from pain."
