"Equal Respect"

What you think of yourself is reflected in the way you treat others.
A very effective way to raise your own level of confidence
is by acting positively toward the people around you.
Rudeness toward others, whether intentional or not,
is a sure sign of a lack of confidence.
When you have no respect or consideration for others,
it's difficult to have much confidence in yourself.
Ironically, one of the worst things you can do for yourself
is to think only of yourself.
The more genuine respect, consideration and
courtesy you express toward those around you,
the more your own confidence will grow.
If someone is rude to you,
make every effort to be sincerely pleasant
and courteous in return.
Just because someone else is allowing rudeness
to drain away their own energy,
doesn't mean you must do the same.
Have the confidence to be courteous,
and the confidence to act with genuine
respect toward others.
Your positive attitude and positive actions will
empower you with even more confidence and energy.

"Never Ever Doubt Your Worth"

I am worth a lot

Your Self-worth depends on how you value yourself. If you have a high respect in yourself you are considered a rare gem & great catch by the opposite gender.

In a brief conversation, a man asked a woman he was pursuing the question "What kind of man are you looking for?

"She sat quietly for a moment before looking him in the eye and asking, "Do you really want to know?"Reluctantly, he said, "Yes."She began to expound...

"As a woman in this day and age, I am in a position to ask a man what he can do for me that I can't do for myself.I pay my own bills. I take care of my household without the help of any man...or woman for that matter.

I am in the position to ask, 'What can you bring to the table?'"The man looked at her. Clearly he thought that she was referring to money. She quickly corrected his thought and stated, "I am not referring to money. I need something more.

I need a man who is striving for perfection in every aspect of life."He sat back in his chair, folded his arms, and asked her to explain. She said, "I am looking for someone who is striving for perfection mentally because I need conversation and mental stimulation.

I don't need a simple-minded man. I am looking for someone who is striving for perfection spiritually because I don't need to be unequally yoked...believers mixed with unbelievers is a recipe for disaster. I need a man who is striving for perfection financially because I don't need a financial burden.

I am looking forsomeone who is sensitive enough to understand what I go through as a woman, but strong enough to keep me grounded. I am looking for someone who I can respect. In order to be submissive, I must respect him.

I cannot be submissive to a man who isn't taking care of his business.I have no problem being submissive...he just has to be worthy.

God made woman to be a helpmate for man. I can't help a man if he can't help himself."When she finished her spill, she looked at him. He sat there with a puzzled look on his face.

He said,"You are asking a lot.
"She replied, "I am worth a lot."

"Be A Women Of Confidence"

CONFIDENT WOMAN

Head held high,A smile filled with surprise;
A swing in my step,
As I flash my Baby Blue Eyes!

Strut in rare form,
Lipstick to match my nails;
Strong personality to bare,
Creativity within my tales.

I turn heads in my path,
As each step I take with pride;
I am sexy within my confidence,

No longer the need to run and hide.
You come close to know my name,

Eager within your words;
I am a sheer mystery,
Dancing inside songs you've never heard.

Smile at me as I walk by,
Remembering the sway of my walk;
Falling asleep to the sound of my voice,
And the sweet way I talk.

"Confidence Is Knowing Your Ability With Pure Intention"

Confidence Vs Arrogance - Get It Right

Many people have wondered the differences of confidence vs. arrogance.

The discussion of confidence vs arrogance brings to light many similarities and differences between the two characteristics. Confidence vs arrogance also focuses the attention on the way each of these characteristics affects the behavior of a given individual.

Below is a list of differences and similarities between these two characteristics. You can decide for yourself when it comes to confidence vs arrogance which characteristics fit you best accordingly.

1. Confidence vs arrogance both involve believing in one’s abilities.

A person who is confident understands they have certain areas of strength. A person who is arrogant also believes that have certain areas of strength. A person with confidence will also understand others maybe stronger, and that each person is a complete package of strengths and weaknesses so will remain humble in both. An arrogant person will often neglect to acknowledge weakness in light of playing up the strengths.
2. Confidence vs arrogance often stem from two different roots.

Arrogance is often underplayed by insecurity. An arrogant person tends to be arrogant to compensate for areas of weakness that distress the individual. An arrogant person may seem to ignore any areas of weakness and only play up areas of strength, but they often do so because of an inability to come to terms with weakness.

A confident person finds the root of their confidence in self acceptance - a key confidence vs arrogance difference.

A confident person accepts their weaknesses or faults, even though they may not like them. This acceptance enables the confident person to handle faults with grace and without further compacting the areas of weakness with arrogance. These are key points when understanding confidence vs arrogance.

3. The effects of confidence vs arrogance on relationships clearly mark the difference between the two characteristics.

An arrogant person tends to brag and can put others down in an attempt to be the best or come out the coolest. A confident person is above such antics. They recognize their strengths and weaknesses, and allow that other people will have strengths and weaknesses.

A confident person need not make life a competition, so a confident person is often much easier to be around. An arrogant person can be cocky and difficult to reason with, making conversation difficult and bothersome.

4. The physical manifestations of confidence vs arrogance also help distinguish them.

Arrogance is often associated with a swaggering walk and a posture that is overly commanding and dominating. Body language of an arrogant person differs from that of a confident person. A confident person can adopt an open and easy posture that allows others to approach them. An arrogant person is often more aggressive and harder to approach.

Confidence vs arrogance involves truly two different characteristics, sharing only a perceived appreciation for a particular strength. Arrogance, sadly, often accompanies a lack of confidence so that the arrogant person still hurts underneath.

The question of confidence vs arrogance is not a difficult one, and most people would rather be on the confident side of the fence.

"Should Men Be Intimidated By Career Oriented Women?"

.....Girls with high standards?.....

Gentlemen, do you find this intimidating and scare you off? Or is it more of a challenge? Do you have high standards for women? What do they include? And ladies, do you have high standards yourself? And if so, what do YOUR standards include?

Personality? Looks? Education? Income? Etc?

Most men find it intimidating to date a woman with strong character & pursuing a career of her own.But this should not happen because being intimidated is a negative attitude & a sign of lack of self trust.Nobody should be intimidated by anyone. We are all special in different areas all we just need is to trust ourselves & discover our own strength & use it.

Being intimidated by others is sign of a weak personality ,I must say we all have the tendency to be intimidated by someone but all we need is to overcome this fear & always put in your mind that no one is above us.We are equal & all special.

Career Oriendted women should be admired by both men & women but there is no reason to be intimidated by people who already had made themselves become a successful individuals but let them be your inspiration to achieve your goals be happy for what they had accomplished in their lives.Focus on the positive side of things, being intimidated is a negative thing that you should overcome. It will do you no good at all.

I do have high standard in choosing a woman in my life.It is important that she has a good education & good values,i just don't focus on physical traits.

Physical attractiveness is important for me because i love to see beatiful things & i want to spend my life with someone who i will never be tired of looking till year passes. But i won't take a girl just for looks without brains.I'm attracted to someone who is a good conversationalist that can discuss any topic with me

You should not be intimidated by someone who is achieving his or her goals in life but instead take it as a challenge that would make you more procdutive & aspire more in life,Being challenged is healthy for you to grow & disbover yourself but don't take challenges as acompetition because you should not compete with others.
You should take this challenge to boost your self-trust & not for competing

Don't try to prove yourself on anyone. To be truly successful is just do your thing with your own style, competition is not healthy for you & your relationship.

I prefer a woman who have confidence in herself, know what she wants & know how to achieve it..

I can say that i have a very high standard in choosing my mate because i have a high respect for myself & i want to be treated that way.I won't bgo with a girl who can't stand for herself & depend what she believes in.

I want someone unique,i won't choose a girl who immitates someone whether in fashion or career because woman who immitates does not know what is good or bad for her & she lacks the ability to decide what she wants that all she would do is go with the flow.I won't go with a girl who doesn't uses her own mind.I woman who doesn't know her difference with other girls because she losses her own i dentity.

For me i would much admire a girl who is self -made rather than a girl who inherited her wealth.

I would admire & prefer someone who is educated but well mannered.Because not all who acquired higher education acts educated.Being educated for me means much more not just proven by the means of diplomas & certificates.I prefer omeone who thinks & act educated.

"SHYNESS - ANOTHER VIEW"

SHYNESS - ANOTHER VIEW

We are all born shy, aren't we? When we see little children clinging to their parents, hiding behind Mom or Dad, we are reminded about the shyness of first coming into this World. As this early stage of our life we are not ready to be seen just yet. We want to hide until it feels safe to come out and be visible.

Becoming visible is what Life is all about. Revealing ourselves, showing ourselves and expressing our "inner self" are about becoming visible and declaring ourselves "Ready" to meet the World. Much of the World certainly seems to like the shy person. People want that person to reveal themselves, to display their talents and capabilities. The World can be generous that way. It would seem that "repression" is an aberration to that so-called "Worldy Manner" where we usually invite others to share themselves with us.

This is a good thing, I believe, where we encourage each other to come out and display our wealth of creativity. As a species we are all enriched by these contributions from our shy members. It's like we know at some level that we will benefit from their displays. And perhaps they will teach us something about ourselves, since all of us have some inherent shyness built in.

Here's an interesting fact about shy people, those that still display shyness as - s - they are Creative. Very creative, as a matter of fact. The more shy a person is, the more creative they tend to be. A lot of actors and performers are shy people. Why? Because they are creative. So why do shy, creative people show themselves? Because the joy of giving, of displaying their special abilities far exceeds the limited payoff of staying hidden and allegedly safe. It's a contradiction of course, but it is true nevertheless. Most shy people (not all) are creative, and most creative people would rather give of their talents than hold back.

Are you shy? Are you creative? Then perhaps you are ready to give of yourself too! Wouldn't that be worth pursuing? If you see yourself as a "Shy" person then here's what you can do. You can hold yourself up to the light of day and declare "I am ready to meet the world." And the world will respond. "Welcome" it will say. "Yes indeed, we need you. Please show us your stuff."

And all the shy people of the World will step forward and give of themselves unanimously. Wouldn't that be a big surprise? To see all of us out there, dancing a jig, showing off our stuff, our talents and abilities.

Yes, we can do it, we who are shy. We can show our stuff to the World. Time to come out from behind Mom's skirts, and take a peek around the corner. The World is waiting for you to "Strut Your Stuff." Don't be shy now!

"DREAM TO LIVE"

"BELIEVE IN YOURSELF"

Don't undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others,
It is because we are different that each of us is special.
Don't set your goals by what other people deem important,
Only you know what is best for you.
Don't take for granted the things closest to your heart
Cling to that as you would your life, for without them life is meaningless.
Don't let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or the future.
By living your life one day at a time, you live all the days of your life.
Don't give up when you still have something to give
Nothing is really over … until the moment you stop trying.
Don't be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect,
It is the fragile thread that binds us to each other.
Don't be afraid to encounter risks,
It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.
Don't shut love out of your life by saying it's impossible to find.
The quickest way to receive love is to give love.
The fastest way to lose love is to hold on too tightly,
And the best way to keep love is to give it wings.
Don't dismiss your Dreams. To be without dreams is to be without hope.
To be without hope is to be without purpose.
Don't run through life so fast that you forget where you've been,
But also know where you're going.
Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored every step of the way.

Clues to attract a man

What makes a woman attractive to a man?

In fact every woman sends out signals to men. Most men can detect and read your signals in a matter of seconds. The first pulses you emit are your dress and your body language.

It’s incredibly easy for a woman to attract attention from men. Just wear skin-tight, thigh-length, revealing clothing. You’ll get lots of male attention. But will it be the kind of attention you want? Fishermen insist that the fish you catch is determined by the bait you use.

Would you like to make yourself more appealing to a man who will be attracted to you as a person and not as an object? If so, remember these tips to keep in mind when trying to attract a man.

Confidence is the number one attraction. Being more confident with yourself and your surroundings will attract someone that is equal to you. You will also notice that more people are drawn to you.Appearance is also a big issue. Your appearance and body language may catch his attention, but it takes personality and charm to sustain a man's interest.

Realize you only have one chance to make a good first impression. If he sees you when you are at your worst then he will not want to look a second time.

Give a man a reason to think about you. Wear a lingering fragrance that haunts his memory, soft clothes that he yearns to touch and a smile that he can't get out of his mind. And don’t forget to leave a little something to the imagination. An air of mystery can be provocative and appealing to a man.

Make him feel important by focusing your full attention on him. Listen intently to what he has to say and respond with respect for his opinions, laugh at his jokes no matter how lama they are, take an interest in his interests.

And finally – don't try and be something you are not. He will be falling for a false idol and will not want to know you when he sees the real you. Let him know you're different from all the rest. Emphasize your originality through your personality, intelligence and behavior.

'You Are Beautiful. Now Say It'

"Simple Abundance"start appreciating your own beauty and worth.

Undoubtedly, we become what we envisage.

You are beautiful. Right now. Today. Just as you are, just the way you look as you read those three words: You. Are. Beautiful. Say it slowly aloud, as if the phrase were a foreign language, for it probably is.You are beautiful. Now say it in the first person singular.

"I am beautiful."

Do you know that? If so, remind yourself of this glorious fact every day. If not, it is time to become beautiful in your own eyes. This will require a makeover of sorts, but not the kind you think.

Learning to love the way you look has nothing to do with starting a diet or reshaping your eyebrows. Accepting and embracing your authentic beauty means seeing yourself from the inside out. I love me, I love me not--I love me.

Beauty may only be skin deep, but there is nothing superficial about the complicated relationship that a woman has with her appearance. How you see yourself and how you think other people see you—your body image—is deeply connected to how you feel about yourself.

The effects of a negative body image can be devastating. If you don't like the way you look, you probably don't like the woman you are. And those feelings of worthlessness, self-consciousness, and inadequacy will insinuate their way into nearly every area of your life—into your friendships, your career, your romances, and, most importantly, your relationship with yourself.

A positive body image is equally powerful. It is not an instant solution to all of life's problems, but a starting point, a spark that can set off a fabulous chain reaction. Loving how you look when you catch a glimpse of yourself in a mirror or store window paves the path of self-love, and with that acceptance comes self-esteem, confidence, and authentic beauty, a radiance that glows from within.

* A beauty that is more than skin deep. *

Looking in the mirror is a startling subjective experience. When facing her reflection, one woman may say to herself, "I wish my hips were smaller," or "My fat hips make me ugly." Or she could say, "My curves make me sexy." In each example, the hips are the same—it's how a woman feels about them that's different. But where do these feelings come from? Whether or not you realize it, you've spent your entire life developing them, honing them, cloning them. Transforming the messages communicated by society, your family, your friends, your rivals, and your enemies into cellular memory.

"As preschoolers, boys and girls have already learned the lessons about physical appearance that our society teaches," explains psychologist Thomas Cash, author of "What Do You See When You Look in the Mirror?" "They know that lovely Cinderella gets the prince; her ugly and mean stepsisters do not. From childhood on . . . we judge our self-worth by the physical standards we've absorbed." The world's standards—to be extraordinarily thin, conventionally attractive, and forever young—are uncompromising and unrealistic, yet so pervasive in the media that women who do not conform (and who does?) feel flawed, inferior, unsuccessful, unlovable.
Society's ideals are reinforced in children by parents who overemphasize the importance of appearance, consciously or unconsciously. Their messages, be they subtle or painfully obvious, are expressed in dozens of ways: Were you put on a diet as a child or compared unfavorably to a sibling? Or were you praised for your prettiness, made to feel that it was your looks that made you lovable? Did your father disparage your mother for the way she looked? Or did she obsess about her own appearance? Don't discount the influence of friends and classmates: Being teased as a child or ostracized as a teenager can undermine the efforts of the most accepting parents.

Do you have memories of experiences that might have contributed to the way you see yourself today? As an adult, you may be able to "understand" them, to understand that your parents' criticisms did not mean they didn't love you, or that the bullies at school were acting purely out of their own insecurities. But this doesn't make the memories any less hurtful or their hold on you any less powerful. However, facing them, before you face yourself in the mirror, is the crucial first step in reshaping your body image.

A lifetime pattern of self-denigration is not going to disappear overnight. You're going to have to learn how to replace your automatic criticisms with praise. Self-admiration takes many forms. It can and should include the new compliments you pay to yourself everyday. But the most powerful self-compliment of all is honoring the promises you make to your own soul.

How to look attractive?

Beauty comes from both inside and outside

If someone has not already told you this, this is a state of mind rather than how one's body looks. We have tested this hypothesis with many couples. What we found is that physical appearance had very little to do with how a woman's partner felt about her. These women were hot in their mind and it came out in how they behaved and dressed. So what you need to think about is how to change your thinking. How do you change your own attitude towards your own body? You have to look at your own body and start to love it. If you don't, then you will present a very insecure image to your partner and he will not like you either. Believe me, so many men write to us daily telling us how attractive they find women like you. But men love only those women that are confident and full of self-esteem. They are more interesting and more fun to be around. (Related article: How to improve self esteem?)

Here are some additional tips to feel good about your looks:

Start
exercising regularly. It will not only tone up your body, you will feel much better about yourself. You don't have to do anything special; just regular physical activity will be great for you considering that you are not overweight.
Invest in a new wardrobe. Shop for clothes that make you look more lively and cheerful. Choose colors that go well with your skin and hair color. Do not forget the accessories.
Buy high-quality
lingerie. Do not be too worried if it is too risqué. You will feel great when you wear it.
Spend more time in front of the mirror. Dress up in your favorite outfits and admire your body in front of the mirror. Just because you have small front, it does not mean that you should not look at yourself in the mirror. Notice, in particular, those assets of your body that stand out, whether it be your hair or eyes or rear.
Read inspirational books to
develop your self-esteem.
Stay away from people who tease you or try to convince you that a
woman's self-esteem is to be determined by her size.
Finally, smile.
Smile for being a woman.

Wisdom is our gift , need to be nurtured

The Moral Superiority of Wisdom Over Knowledge

Traditional thought has mostly agreed upon the meanings of the words
"knowledge" and "wisdom".
Nevertheless, the difference between the two is sometimes not immediately evident, especially to one not versed in the history of thought on the subject. In this paper, I will examine the differences between knowledge and wisdom, particularly those related to moral worth, and present an argument for the moral superiority of wisdom over knowledge.
Before proceeding, it is necessary to have an understanding of what these two words mean. Knowledge shall be assumed to be remembrance and understanding of facts. Wisdom shall be assumed to be an understanding of the proper action to take in a given situation. More detail will be added to these definitions later, but they are sufficient for a basic understanding.Armed with these definitions, we proceed to our primary question: which of these two is greater? It is, as I have already stated, my contention that wisdom is the greater of the two. My argument in support of this conclusion is as follows:
Wisdom is morally good
Knowledge is morally neutral

The good is morally superior to the neutral----
Therefore, wisdom is morally superior to knowledge Premise 3 seems self-evident, and the argument is logically valid, so the remainder of this paper will focus on the logical defense of premises 1 and 2.The first question, then, is what is it that makes wisdom a moral good. I assert that goodness is inherent in the definition of wisdom, and that wisdom is therefore good independently of any specific moral theory. In support of this premise, I shall first give examples from four ancient authorities on the subject of wisdom. These are, in roughly chronological order, the Hebrew Bible, Confucius, Socrates and the New Testament. The Hebrew Bible contains the oft-quoted phrase "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom"[1]. The Hebrew word "fear" is often used for to mean "respect", and the context of this verse - a psalm of praise - makes it clear that this is the proper meaning here. Hence the implication is that there is no wisdom apart from a respect for God.The Confucian Analects paint a slightly different picture of wisdom: "to give one's self earnestly to the duties due to men and, while respecting spiritual beings, to keep aloof from them, may be called wisdom"[2]. The theme of respect for spiritual beings recurs here, but the taboo on involvement with them is clearly not what the psalmist had in mind. Additionally, Confucius explicitly includes action in his definition of wisdom, whereas this is only implied by the psalmist. It seems that the wise man knows his place in the world, and does not overestimate his greatness or importance. Socrates's interaction with wisdom is well known, but I will recount it here for the sake of completeness. Socrates was informed by the Delphian Oracle relatively early in his life that there was not a man on earth wiser than he. Socrates was incredulous, because he believed quite firmly that he was without knowledge. Indeed, Socrates continued to believe throughout his life that knowledge was a significant part of wisdom, but he determined that one specific piece of knowledge was more important to wisdom than the others - knowledge of just how little one knows. Socrates searched the world for a man wiser than he, but every time he found a man who ought to know something, he discovered that that man overestimated his own knowledge, and thus eventually came to believe that the Oracle had intended to send a message to the world: the wisest among us is the one who understands just how little he knows.Paul the Apostle agreed. He wrote, "if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know"[3].To bring together these diverse sources, the common belief of ancient thinkers on this subject is that wisdom is to understand one's station and act accordingly. If we extricate the issue of the nature of wisdom from specific moral theories, we can come to the conclusion that wisdom is two things: a specialized type of knowledge, and a related type of action. In light of this, I would adjust our original definition of wisdom to read as follows: wisdom consists of the ability to know and the will to take the action which is morally best in any situation. Clearly, if wisdom is by definition a thorough knowledge of morality, accompanied by action, then it is a moral good.It remains, then, to defend premise 2. This, I think, is fairly easily done. Knowledge is a tool. It may be used for either good or evil. As evidence of its usefulness for good, take the fact that our definition of wisdom, which has already been shown to be a moral good, includes a specific variety of knowledge. As evidence of its usefulness for evil, take for example the skilled oration of Adolph Hitler. The man knew and understood the history of the German people. He quoted from revered historical leaders of the region, such as Martin Luther. Adolph Hitler, who has in our day become the nearly uncontested example of evil at work in our world, was a man of great knowledge, and that knowledge was of much use to him in achieving his ends, which included a great many horrible moral evils. If knowledge is equally useful to practitioners of both good and evil, then it stands to reason that it is a morally neutral tool.In conclusion, this paper has shown that wisdom is a moral good and that knowledge is morally neutral. From these premises, it takes only one assumption, that the good is morally superior to the neutral, to reach the conclusion that wisdom is superior to knowledge. This principle has, I think, been shown conclusively to be true.
