Don’t give it up so easy...........

I am not going to mention any names here, but you can fill in the blanks because I know, you all know someone that matches this description perfectly.
Daddy gave them everything.
/>
They are who they are only because their parents acted like a ladder to the point of hanging them like a marionette. Suspended in air, connected to their parents wallet by some great magnetize force.
They are "who they are" because of what they have, they are not" who they are" but what they actually are.
I am thinking we should make the inheritance tax 100%, give the kids nothing and make them work for it. My reason for this is because we work so hard to give our kids things. We want them to have more than we have. Less stress, more security. If you look around it really creates the opposite. They are allowed to be less because they have more. They equate their value to material wealth and those social connections that are served up with them instead of what they actually do and who they actually "are".
We give them the fruits of struggle without the gift of struggle. We give them a legacy that we created and worked for within our goals and because they have some DNA sequence that makes them ours it becomes theirs? Is the gift in the end result or in the experience?
It is my wish that my child have more because he is more and does more not because he just has more.
We all want the best for our children, but what is the best?
